·         Have you ever heard about fairtrade? 

·         Think about the word fairtrade. It’s obviously a compound word, made up of fair and trade. What does the meaning of those two words together suggest to you? 

·         Do some research. You can start by watching this video:

Task 1: general ideas 

 

Answer these questions: 

·         What’s the origin of fairtrade? 

·         Write a list of products included in fairtrade projects 

·         Fairtrade is based on a list of ethic principles and rules. Can you name them? 

·         Where can you buy fairtrade products near you? 

·         Do you think fairtrade products are the same price as “ordinary” trade ones? Why? 

·         Would you pay some extra money to buy fairtrade products? Why/why not?
